2003 TEMECULA VALLEY INTERNATIONAL FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL 'AMPS' EVENT WITH NOTEWORTHY CONTRIBUTIONS FROM FENDER MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION

Temecula, CA Ausust, 2003 --- This year's 9th annual Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival (TVIFMF) slated for September 10th-14th, 2003 at Movie Experience 10 at Tower Plaza (25735 Ynez Road) is literally geared up' and ready to go!

"Thanks to the sponsorship of music industry leader, Fender Musical Instruments Corp.(FMIC) the world's foremost manufacturer of guitars, amplifiers and related equipment, the festival will receive all the backline equipment for the festival's Music Competition and the All Star Jam," states Jo Moulton, Festival Director. In addition, FMIC will provide two Fender guitars which will be raffled off, with the winning tickets announced on the Festival's Closing Day "It's A Wrap" party festivities. Raffle tickets go on sale Opening Night of the Festival.

Since 1946, the name "Fender" has become synonymous with all things rock 'n roll: from Buddy Holly to Jimi Hendrix to Eric Clapton to Kurt Cobain and everything in between. Fender's iconic instruments such as the Telecaster*, Stratocaster*, Precision Bass* and Jazz Bass* guitars are known the world over as the instruments that started the rock revolution, and they continue to be highly prized among today's guitarists and collectors alike. FMIC corporate headquarters are located in Scottsdale, Ariz., with manufacturing headquarters and the world-renowned Fender Custom Shop in Corona, CA.

"I am very excited for Fender Musical Instruments Corp. to be a sponsor of this year's Temecula Valley Film & Music Festival. Under our Chairman of the Board and CEO, Bill Shultz, Fender has made a lifetime commitment to the support and preservation of the arts.

An example will be the performance at the festival of some of the young musicians from the "Kids Rock Free" educational program at the non-profit Fender Museum of Music & the Arts in nearby Corona. It's also wonderful to see two films I had the privilege of working with on behalf of Fender both showcased at this festival, "Hollywood's Magic Isle: Catalina" and "Don't Let Go". It is an honor for me to have been selected as a judge for the band competition. It's events like TVIFMF that help discover and showcase the future stars of our industry." states Del Breckenfeld, Director, Entertainment Marketing of FMIC.

TVIFMF features an endless schedule of events including Opening Night, Black Tie Awards Gala, and a non-stop showcase competition of American and International Film and Music and industry workshops. This five-day festival promises to be a rewarding opportunity for aspiring filmmakers and music fans to meet and learn first-hand about the business and see emerging styles of cinema and music (genres include rock to jazz, pop, alternative, country and folk ) from North America, South America, Europe, Asia, the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world.
